Guild Island Sugestions
Very nice area, but not very usefull, except for meeting friends online to arrange stuff. We find each other in there, get on Teamspeak (for Voice chat ability) and start off, but then have to reform again to go questing.
A couple of things would be nice to see in the future for the guilds. An account storage locker for the members. Something you can place your aquired stuff into that is passcode or account protected. I was thinking like a guild treasury or something like that. So you can depost items or gold into a box and retrive it later with another character. I'm thinking of stuff like retrived weapons from questing, or bags and belts ect.. that you dont need at the moment, but would be handy for one of your other characters to have. A guild donate area. Like being able to donate gold for guild upgrades... Like Statues, or fountains, or better yet... armories, and shops... ( for purchasing weapons and clothing ect... AT THE GUILD (so could be better or maybe discounted items...) Lastly, I would like to see a Guild Quest map. So you can see all the places the members of your guild have reached. But ONLY at the guild. Someplace you can click to see how far a reach your guild has. Thus being able to guide future explorations to areas unexplored. MAYBE being able to click on waypoints as a group from THAT map so everyone in a formed guild party can get to that point even if one player has not made it that far yet.??? but it will not appear on their own map untill they get there themselves? This saves on everyone going there and then having to cordinate what region they are in to find each other again and reform their party to go on a mission or quest. I agree with everything you just said. Those are all great ideas. It would provide a great benefit to those who form and join guilds.
I especially like the ideas of having a guild treasury and a Guild map. It would be important for the map, though, to show only those places where guild members have been been while they were guild members. |

Update to Guild armory concept:
It was suggested we bring back found weapons to guild, (instead of selling them for 1 gold????) and allow guild members to grab from that depost of weapons when needed. Periodic clean out of old stuff would prob be needed. We were thinking like the customization feature. When it says customized for player name.. instead saying customized for Guild name. Then only guild members can use it. Just like when we customize for our own weapons... Just a added thought. I know you have some goodies planned for next beta weekend on this level already, but I thought I would add my 2 cents worth. Ingram of Haz |

Account storage is a must. I think everyone in the game realized how important storage space was when they created a character and they needed 500 gold just to get an extra 10 spaces in their bag. I'm glad ANet acquiesced a bit and dropped the price to 100 gold. Even then it was a bit rough, because it doesn't function as a money sink, it's a one time cost for people who don't have the money to begin with and need the extra space the most to be able to hold more items to be able to sell more items to earn the money....and so on. That's dragging off topic, suffice to say that I agree, account storage is a must.
Also, I love the idea of a guild map. Being able to see where everyone in your guild has been, in-game, and comparing it to your own map would be excellent. Being able to warp to outposts, with your guild, would be a great way to share adventures. The only problem I see is what do you do about places you reach while you're exploring. Let's say we all warp to Riverside Province and reach Sanctum Cay. I've never been to Riverside or Sanctum Cay before, but now I've reached Sanctum Cay on my own merits (with my guild). Does Sanctum Cay appear on my map but not Riverside? In any case, an explored in-game map would be great. I love MOOMANiBE's Map Project, but it's annoying to switch to a separate window not in the game to see which direction I need to go.
